All public bodies in Vermont must concern themselves with the requirements of the Vermont Open Meeting Law and the Vermont Public Records Act. They must also be concerned about and seek to avoid conflicts of interest, and seek to assure ethical conduct by all public officials. There are also quorum requirements and election/voting requirements, including binding bond votes and Australian ballot voting, that must be met for lawful and binding public action.
